Rare South African Toyota prancing horse cufflinks. A real collectors item.
A unique pair of early 1990s Toyota South Africa cuff links. The prancing horse was only used in South Africa by Toyota SA founder, Dr Albert Wessels, who believed the company should have some sort of emblem associated with it. His passion for horses led to the development of a unique identity for Toyota South Africa. Ferrari prancing horse influence maybe? The Stallion never actually appeared on any Toyota vehicles, yet it has always been a unique identifier of Toyota South Africa, under the leadership of Dr Albert Wessels.
The number 100 can only refer to Toyotas first full-size pickup truck, the T100, which was launched in November 1992 in the USA and around the world. The T100 was the first vehicle (car or truck) ever to receive an Initial Quality Survey Award in its first year of production. Also included is a 1981 Toyota 20th Anniversary Market Leaders pin badge.
