Victron 12V/165Ah AGM Deep Cycle Battery (M8)

The AGM series, designed to last between 7 and 10 years, features exceptionally low internal resistance, making it an ideal choice for applications requiring high current discharge, such as inverters, thrusters, and winches. On the other hand, the GEL series, with a design life of 12 years, excels in deep cycle durability, offering an extended lifespan. Both AGM and GEL types utilize high purity materials and lead calcium grids to minimize self-discharge, ensuring they remain charged over long periods of inactivity. Equipped with M8 drilled, flat copper terminals, they provide optimal connection contact without the need for additional battery terminals. These batteries meet CE and UL standards, are housed in ABS fireproof containers, and are backed by Victron's 2-year global warranty.

In contrast, the capacity for Victron Tubular Plate Long Life batteries is calculated based on a 10-hour discharge. It's crucial to understand that the effective capacity diminishes as the discharge current increases, a reduction that accelerates under constant power loads, such as when powering an inverter.
