Early Silver '1st Batt. Railway Reg. A.F. India' Regimental Spoon
This vintage WW2, good quality silver and enamel spoon, is one I haven't come across before. It has the crest or badge of the 'Bombay, Baroda & Central India' Railway Company, with this wording in blue enamel. In red enamel above and below the badge are the words '1st BATTN' & 'RAILWAY REGIMENT A.F. INDIA', this was one of the part-time units of the 'Auxiliary Force' in India. This spoon is English hallmarked for Birmingham1931, with the silversmiths mark 'J.W.T' for 'James Walter Tiptaft'. The silver spoon and enamel work are in excellent condition, and it measures 13cm in length.
