One of a kind "rugby ball" shaped Rand.
Much larger and thinner, but not wider, and has no loss of any detail, and no warping. Weighs 12gm
Both the Coat of Arms, and the Springbok are significantly larger (see measurements below).
In 1977 on 15th August, Morne du Plessis's Springbok team defeated the World XV team 45-24 at the newly built Loftus Versveld Stadium.
So this curiosity is not only for coin collectors, but also for the Springbok Rugby fans. Judge for yourself from the images below.
