The Royal Artillery Commemoration Book 1939-1945

Published on behalf of The Royal Artillery Benevolent Fund. 

A commemorative military work on the work of the Royal Artillery during World War Two.

This is a magnificent record of RA service during the Second World War, with individual theatres, actions and activities described by appropriate authorities. As befits the Gunners, this is one of the finest regimental records to emerge from WWII. During World War II there were over 1 million men serving in 960 gunner regiments.

I.Hardcover: Very Good considering its age. Corners slightly bumped. Minimal shelf-wear and scuffing on edges, boards have minor wear, mostly marks from aging. End papers aged,

II.Boards covered with blue buckram. Gilt titling on spine and front board illustrated with Royal Coat of Arms and Royal Artillery Badge also in gilt.

III.No inscriptions.

IV.Illustrated throughout with hundreds of monochrome plates and 108 black and white illustrations, a couple in colour and twenty-six coloured maps, eleven of which are folding.

V.Internally a clean, bright and tight copy.

VI.No Dust Jacket.

VII.Published: G. Bell & Sons, 1950.; 1st Edition, 1950.

VIII.Binding Condition: Fine, tight and secure.

IX.Overall Condition: Very Good, especially considering its age.

X.Size: Quarto, 304 mm X 250 mm x 69 mm.
