Hardcover third impression October 1947, published by Blandford Press. The jacket is worn, marked and creased, with pieces missing from the end of the spine, and long tears along the folds. The inside front flap is completely separated, but present. The boards are edge-worn and scuffed, particularly the ends of the spine, that are faded and frayed. The corners are bumped, and there is a crease to the rear one at the spine. There is a small ink stamp on the first end paper, as well as a few pencil notes. The pages are generally aged, and lightly tanned around the edges, but are otherwise clean and unmarked. The story of Major John Geoffrey Appleyard.
