HEART SHAPED BOWL = DISH & handle at the top.
1935/36
Pattern number TL43 = Wind Tossed Peony.
A complicated design with stylised blue & violet lined Peony flower, spilling seeds into the wind and spiky Iznic style mauve leaves on a mottled grey glaze, which shows beautifully the skill of the tube-liners and paintresses. A rich and vibrant design, produced in 1935/36 for A. G. Richardson.
Charlotte worked for H. J. Wood (Bursley Ware) from 1942 until her death in 1947 and Woods continued to produce some of her designs up to about 1960.
Dimensions = 254mm top to bottom x 247mm side to side x 635mm deep.
