A History of the seventy-first siege battery South African heavy artillery. From July, 1915, the date of its formation at Cape Town, to the 11th November, 1918, when "Cease Fire!" sounded at Lesdain, on the Escault Canal, near Tournai, Belgium.


About this Item

Full leather binding with spine reinforced with black strip. Bright gilt decoration on front board. Signed and dated 1919 by a member of the battery, named in the book, W. Wallis Brown. Original green marbled endpapers. Front hinge starting to split at bottom but binding still very solid. All edges gilt. Seller Inventory # 80283
