Victorian Miniature Silver 'Saucepan' Pepperette (1894)
This wonderful, very collectable, Victorian solid silver miniature novelty 'pepperette' in the form of a saucepan and lid is in excellent condition and was made in 1894 in Birmingham, England by silversmiths 'Joseph Whitten' (JW). It has a snug fitting, pierced pull-out lid with a gilded interior, and both the lid and pot have been English hallmarked. The miniature stands 30mm high (35mm with handle), has a diameter of 28mm, and length with handle is 60mm and it weighs 12g.
