BRUSSEL SPROUT LONG ISLAND (BCRASSICA OLERACEA VAR. GEMMI).
Sow seeds from mid summer to early autumn. Sow in seed trays (seeour plastic seedling trays) and transplant into final position once seedlingshave their true leaves.
Mix soil in the bed with well rottedmanure or compost. Space seedlings 45-60cm between plants. When plants are halfgrown apply liquid manure every 2 to 3 weeks. Keep well watered.
Harvest normally in 16 to 20 weeks.They mature progressively from the bottom of the stem to the top.
