Rare Silver Georg Jensen 'Bittersweet' Sugar Tongs
These amazing, sterling silver sugar nips or tongs were manufactured by the sought-after Georg Jensen factory in Copenhagen, Denmark in the 1940/50's. They are decorated in the very rare 'Bittersweet' pattern, which was the sister pattern to the famous 'Cactus' pattern, that were both designed by 'Gundorph Albertus', a Danish silversmith who worked for Georg Jensen. These wonderful silver sugar nips have a sprung scissor mechanism and are in excellent condition. They have the Georg Jensen hallmark and are stamped 'STERLING DENMARK'. They measure 9.5cm in length.
