Vintage green and black metal clad, wood bound Trunk, with edge and corner protecors. Hinged lid fitted with a strap stay, painted in white. "Th Polman c/o, J Pekeharing, Klinkenbergstraat 28, Baillie-Park, Potchefstroom, Tvl, No3" fronted by three closers and loop handle with an enclosing blue and white striped paper-lined interior. Both sides fitted with loop handles.
In the day and age the trunks were used to hold clothing and other items for means of travelling. These days it has served as a most eye catching decor item or a coffee table with storage and for placing books and or magazines and other items on top. Multi purpose at it's best!
