Solid Silver Georgian Spice Castor/Shaker (1803)
This very early, fine, sterling silver, English hallmarked, Georgian spice castor or shaker, from the early 1800's is in excellent condition and was made in London in 1803 by silversmiths 'Charles Fox I' (CF). The castor is urn shaped with a domed lid and stands on a square base, with clear hallmarks on the inside of the lid and along the side of the base. It stands 10,5cm high, with a base measurement of 4,2cm x 4cm, a lid diameter of 5cm, and weighs 66,8g.
