Original aquatint with indent as required. Not stuck down. Appears excellent, looks to have been cleaned. Hand coloured. 24.5 cm x 32.5 cm within indent. Features an auto-da-fe or ritual humiliation punishment being carried out by the French army on prisoners, post Napoleon. Features soldiers, a dog, buildings in the Place Vendome, Paris, musicians.From a very rare book entitled A Tour Through Paris, published in 1822.
27 cm x 36 cm with full border. Would frame beautifully. A rare and valuable aquatint in excellent condition.
