Dave Barr is an extraordinary adventurer who rode a 1972 Harley Davidson around the world... despite the loss of both his legs from an antitank mine explosion in Angola in 1981.
His trip, from September 1990 to May 1994 covered six continents and over 83,000 miles.
He crossed the Sahara, the Namib and Gobi deserts, circled Australia, and negotiated the Andes during avalanche season.
He was the first person with a major disability to circle the world both north-south and east-west... on a motorcycle. His exciting journey helped raise awareness for people with disabilities, and prompted TV documentaries in Russia and China.
