A set of eight colour plates, mounted on stiff grey paper sheets. Together with a four page Introduction and Explanation. Plates and Introduction inside decorated cardboard presentation folder. Folder in plastic cover, as published. Very good condition.  Colour plates are as new.

Provenance: From the Library of Sir Alan Francis Brooke, Field Marshal Alanbrooke, 1st Viscount Alanbrooke.Heinrich Von Michaëlis (1912 1990) was a South African artist (painter, sculptor), ornithologist, pilot and expert in gliding. Born in 1912 in Germany to a German father and South African mother, he returned to his mothers native country in 1937. He died in 1990
