Royal Air Force Valley `At Home` Day Souvenir Book September 19th, 1959

 This magazine has been much handled, with an approximately 7cm long open tear midway along the spine, and wear and creasing to the edges. The corners are dog-eared, with some light soiling to page edges in places. However it is still intact. There is a short note written in pen on the first page, above the foreword by Group Captain J.T. Shaw. The RAF Valley Home Day of September 19th 1959 commemorated the Battle of Britain Anniversary. Articles include "Rockets - A Short History" by Flt. Lt. B.E. Burton, "Proud Anniversary" by Marshal of the Air Force Sir Dermot A. Boyle, "The Defence of Great Britain" by Air Marshall Hector D. McGregor, "Forty Years off Hope" by Air-Vice-Marshall Sir John W. Cordingley, "Man, Space and Aviation Medicine" by Flight Lieutenant C. Guignard, "Fifty Years of Building Bombers" by Sir Frederick Handley Page, "Leader for Tomorrow", and "Transport Command's Little Deterrent" by Flight Lieutenant John P.M. Reid, as well as several advertisements for military and other products.
