A milk jug or creamer and sugar bowl set by Royal Albert in the rare "Old English Rose" pattern and "Hampton" shape.
The name of the pattern is not indicated on the backstamps, but I know the pattern. According to the backstamps, this set was likely manufactured in the 1940s.
The pieces are in good condition for their age with no chips or cracks. There is some fine grazing on the bottom of the bowl. The gilding on the sugar bowl is very worn, less so on the jug.
