**104 yrs old *** Rogers - 95 Piece Comprehensive Original & Assembled Old English Cutlery Set in Oak Canteen
Wow, what a fabulous and rare find!!! A Rogers canteen of cutlery in a 2 tier oak canteen, the cutlery has a plaque on the lid dated 1908. The key to lock the canteen is present and working fine. Most of the items still have their original paper wrappers, they have either not been used or used very gently as the plating is in very good condition. The handles of the knives are out of ivoreen, some yellowing aging has happened on the ones that were used, the unused ones' handles are off-white. Most of the pieces are from the original set, here and there replacements have been added but the replacements fit in well and are good matches. It is a 12 place setting canteen, it is mostly complete - missing are : 2 x tea spoons, 6 x cake forks, and one or 2 items like large knives or forks for serving/carving that should fit in the top tier.

12 table knives (3 are from the original set - 24.5cm long, 9 are replacements - 23.5cm long)
12 table forks (19.5cm long)
12 desert knives (3 are from the original set, 9 are replacements - 20.5cm long)
12 desert forks (17cm long)
12 desert spoons (11 are from the original set - 17.5cm long, 1 is a replacement - 18.5cm long)
6 coffee spoons (12.5cm long) - none missing here, the set only had 6 coffee spoons to start off with
4 tea spoons - (14cm long) - the coffee spoons can also be used as tea spoons as they are quite large and the tea spoons can be used for condiments as they are also quite large

1 long stemmed serving spoon - 32cm long
1 Soup Ladle - 29cm long
2 Sauce ladles/gravy spoons - 18cm long

1 condiment ladle (for jams, sugar, sauces, etc) - 13.5cm long
1 mustard spoon (8cm long)
1 Carving knife (not from original set) - 32cm long
1 Carving fork (not sure if this is from original set) - 25cm long
1 Sharp knife - 25.5cm long
The oak canteen is felt lined, some wear evident on parts of the felt, the outside of the canteen is in very good condition. It is a very large and impressive canteen measuring 50cm x 34cm and 15cm high, with the cutlery it has a combined weight of 10.7kg.
Rare to find a set like this that is still mostly complete!
