Offered is an original 1861 Great Britain One Shilling, struck during the reign of Queen Victoria. An attractive early Victorian sterling-silver coin with considerable character and strong collector appeal.
The obverse carries Queen Victorias famous Young Head portrait facing left, surrounded by the royal legend:
VICTORIA DEI GRATIA BRITANNIAR: REG: F:D:
The reverse features the denomination ONE SHILLING beneath the royal crown, beautifully enclosed by the traditional laurel and oak wreath, tied by a ribbon below. The 1861 date remains clearly visible at the base.
