An EXCELLENT example of a 1886 French Army ,Lebel  Steel Bayonet Scabbard as issued for the 8mm Rifle. The Lebel Bolt-action Rifle was utilised by French Forces from the 1880s throughout World War I and underwent a series of modifications until eventual recall in the 1930s.

The Scabbard displays minor surface verdigris , and remains modified with a shortened tip. Armoury nomenclature and serial number appear on the Steel throat-piece. 

The ideal addition for those seeking a period Scabbard for their 1886 Lebel Cruciform Bayonet in order to complete their collection or display.
