An EXCELLENT example of a 1960s South African Defence Force, Tele-71 Mark II Field Telephone in original storage case. This piece appears to be in a well-preserved state, with the green plastic storage case opening & securing well when engaged. The Webbing sling/ shoulder Harness remains in a well-preserved state . Minor handling marks are evident on surface, due to age & general handling. ** Please Note : Item remains UNTESTED & IS FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY **
The Tele-71 Mark II would have been utilised by South African soldiers during the early stages of the Border War in South-West Africa (1966-1989) ; having been replaced later by more modern Field Radios & Communication systems.
