The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION - Greatcoat  is present and buttons are evident. Material remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Minimal signs of Wear evident due to handling. Lining is complete. Manufacturers label and Union Military markings legible.

An EXCELLENT example of a , 1960s SADF Wool Fielddress Greatcoat w/ Buttons. This piece appears to be in a VF state , with Wool material remaining in good order (No Holes) . All labels and Military Acceptance Stamps are present present. Minor evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Rear retention belt and lower gusset are complete. All seams appear intact.

Note : This item is over 50 years old and has been utilised in varied conditions. 

This piece is a direct variant of the British WW2 pattern 40 Greatcoat and appears to be a transitional uniform item.
