Original 1967 South African 1 Rand silver coin, struck during the early Republic of South Africa era. This is the English legend variety (SOUTH AFRICA), composed of 80% silver, making it popular with both collectors and silver buyers.

The obverse features the iconic Springbok antelope with the Latin motto SOLI DEO GLORIA, a classic and recognisable South African design. The reverse bears the portrait of State President C.R. Swart, representing a key period shortly after South Africa became a republic.
