An EXCELLENT example of a 20th Century , Kenya Maasai Herders' Baton Dagger. This piece appears to be in a well-preserved state , displaying appropriate signs of age-related surface wear/ handling. The Steel Blade tip is quite sharp and must be handled with care. A piece such as this , would have been carried by male members of the Maasai tribe as a secondary / utilitarian knife for everyday usage.
The Carved wooden handle appears to be complete and features an anthropomorphic figure design.
The ideal addition to any 20th Century African Tribal Dagger / Weapon collection or display.
