An EXCELLENT example of a 20th Century Native American/ Inuit Bone-Handled Trapper's Knife with  Leather Scabbard. This piece appears to be in a well-preserved state, with a sharp steel blade and secure multi-piece assembled Bone handle. A stylised ' Birds-Beak Handle' , allows for a controlled grip and is a design that has been featured by many cultures throughout history. The characteristic Eagle motif - is representative of the spiritual and cultural significance associated with such creatures by indigenous tribes in North America. This item has been subject to extensive usage - and will display associated areas of wear when used for cutting and skinning tasks.


The ideal addition to any Vintage North American Tribal   , Knife collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a well preserved period piece.
