| ABOUT THIS RING: | Ancient Roman/Byzantine Empire Billon Ring: This superbly preserved late ancient Roman early Byzantine Empire Billon ring has the most incredible patterning engraved on its rectangular shaped bezel. The wide band has beautiful engravings on and below the unique side notches. The ring also has a very defined notch at the bottom of the band which was common in rings of this period. The engravings on this ring are deep and crisp and overall the ring is very stong and sturdy. Some deposits still remain on the rings engravings which has been semi-cleaned. Truly a magnificent ancient treasure. An incredibly beautiful ring that is still perfectly wearable. |
