"BEASTS AND MEN" BY CARL HAGENBECK, FIRST EDITION, 1909, HARDCOVER, 300 PAGES, IN VERY GOOD CONDITION, NO NAMES INSCRIPTIONS ETC.

An apologia for the author's desire to entrap wild beasts and "to train "" them. Presumably to keep in zoos, a sort of "how to catch animals and influence people".The idea of watching animals in their wild estate had not yet caught on. But there is the germ of the idea that to seriously watch them might prove interesting.
