NOTE : IN AMAZING CONDITION FOR AGE !!!

On offer is a highly unusual miniature New Testament Bible, housed in a hinged case with an integral magnifying class. The front and rear of the case are marked 'A Midget Book With Magnifying Glass' and there is a suspension loop to the top. The book is only 18mm (¾") high and is of green leather with gilt lettering. It was published by David Bryce & Sons of Glasgow in 1895 who's works are prized for their clarity and legibility.

Glasgow: Bryce, David, 1895. 520pp. One of the smallest of all Bryce miniatures and named, at the time of publication, the smallest complete New Testament ever printed. Bondy called it "staggeringly small." A tiny facsimile of the Oxford Pica 16mo Testament, advertised as "printed on the very thinnest Oxford Paper ever made." This is a fine copy in gilt-stamped blue leather, with red edges.
