An EXCELLENT example of a Boer War (1899-02) , Queen's South Africa Medal with Ribbon. This piece remains in a GOOD state of preservation & had been subject to suspender repair. The Medal has been subject to a partial skimming on the Rim- however , the Name and Unit details remain legible (partially obscured). This item has been attested to a Trooper A.J. or S.J. Chandler of the South African Constabulary (S.A.C). The Unit was formed in 1900 and was mandated with ensuring the security of captured Boer territory , by means of field operations & blockhouse duties.
