An EXCELLENT example of a Boer War- German Supplied 7.92 Mauser Ammunition Leather Bandolier. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with Mounted Ammunition pockets. All retention Studs and Buckle present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface.
The German Empire , supplied the Zuid-Afrikaansche Republiek/ Transvaal with both Ammunition, Rifles & Bandoliers. These items of personal equipment were distinguished by the presence of Aluminium retention Studs on the pockets and the characteristic Octagonal 'Prussian Pattern' Steel adjustment Buckle.
