An EXCELLENT example of Boer War, RARE Queen's South Africa Medal attested to the East Griqualand Field Force. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on obverse. All nomenclature present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Recipient details impressed on Rim.
The East Griqualand Field Force was raised and funded by the Cape Government, as a Colonial unit devised to conduct raids against known Boer Forces in the Cape Colony. Unit members were drawn from several outfits and were Mobile in activities.
