The piece is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Camouflage Graphic Design Relief is present and detailed. Helmet remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Hessian cover will display wear alongside the Camouflage Netting.

An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1960s SADF Steel Helmet w/ Handpainted Camouflage Cover & Foliage Netting. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Camouflage Pattern Relief on  obverse. All parts appear present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Webbing chin strap and plastic liner are evident and intact.

This piece would have been utilised by members of the SADF during the early stages of the Conflict in SWA/ Angola.
