The piece  is in an GOOD, USED CONDITION- Blade is present and handle is secure. Bayonet remains in a Good State and has been utilised. Signs of Wear evident due to handling. Press-release stud is MISSING from mortise. No Scabbard.

An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1960s FN FAL Type A Bayonet with Plastic Grip Scales .This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with Blade intact and Pronged Flash-hider feature present. Note : Press-release stud on securing mortise is NO LONGER PRESENT.Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Blade remains sharp- handle with care.

The Type A FN Bayonet , featured an integral flash-hider system for the initial batch of first generation FN Battle Rifles purchased by the South African Defence Force in 1961.
