An EXCELLENT example of a Border War , 1970s South African Police (SAP) 2nd Pattern Camouflage Bush Hat. This piece appears to be in a USED state , with material intact & all press Studs. The original early green denim  lining is present.Appropriate  Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible  - with colour / Pattern fading from sun exposure.

This piece would have been issued to S.A.P personnel performing Counter-Insurgency duties in the Operational/ Border Area of SWA. Units such as Koevoet would also have utilised 2nd Pattern items prior to the early 1980s - a sought after addition to any ensemble.
