An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s SADF M83 Parabat Ballistic Helmet w/ Nutria Cover w/ Visor .This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Nutria Camouflage Cover featuring a retractable Visor & Day-Glo Recognition panel. All parts appear  present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Cover retains foliage loops - Liner is complete with suspension and three-point Chinstrap is functional. Drawstring and adjustable sliders are present.

Helmet is intact - but will display age-related surface wear due to handling. Manufacturer markings evident. This piece would have been utilised by members of 1 Parachute Battalion/ 44 Parachute Brigade whilst performing duties in the Operational Area of SWA/ Angola.
