An EXCELLENT example of Border War, 1980s SWATF  101 Battalion ( Ovambo) Honour Medallion. This piece appears to be in a VF/F state , with detailed Relief on  obverse. All insignia present. Evidence of handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Recipient Name and Medallion Number evident. 

The unit was formed in 1976 , as 1 Ovambo Battalion - and was tasked with assisting SADF Units as a rapid response force to combat incursions.
