An EXCELLENT example of a Border War Era, 1980s SADF Airborne Nylon Reserve Parachute Bag. This piece appears to be in a GOOD state of preservation, with all buckles and velcro fasteners intact. Evidence of minor handling/ age-related wear is visible on surface. Waterproof lining is complete and no holes or tears are evident.
An item such as this would have been utilised to safely contain a Reserve Parachute , by members of the various Parachute Battalions whilst participating in active combat jumps.
