"CHET BAKER PERFORMING WITH STAN GETZ IN AMSTERDAM" (1983) -
COPY OF ORIGINAL DRAWING

This drawing in pencil will do justice to any jazz and music lover's music room or lounge. Two jazz greats, Chet Baker (trumpet/flugelhorn) and (probably) Stan Getz (saxophone) performing in Amsterdam in 1983.

This is a high-definition copy of a drawing done in pencil of the famous jazz trumpeter, Chet Baker, during a concert in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. The saxophone player is in all likelihood the legendary Stan Getz (see the accompanying photograph taken during a concert) which was taken from a slightly different angle.

The original drawing more than likely came from Baker's own documents found after his death in 1988.
His signature is at the bottom of the drawing.

At about 3:00 am on May 13, 1988, Baker was found dead on Prins Hendrikkade, opposite Amsterdam's Centraal Station on the street below his second-story room (Room 210) of Hotel Prins Hendrik in Amsterdam, Netherlands, with serious wounds to his head. Heroin and cocaine were found in his hotel room and an autopsy also found these drugs in his body. There was no evidence of a struggle, and the death was ruled an accident. He was 58. There is a placque next to the hotel entrance where he died (see photograph).

The drawing (24 x 33 cm) is mounted in a white mounting board frame and and is ready to be framed.
