*** Crazy Auction - Dell Power Edge 2600 ***

For Sale:

1 Dell PowerEdge 2600 Server (Rack) with the following installed:

• 2 x Xeon 2.8GHz Processors
• 3 x 73Gb Hot Swap SCSI disks
• 2 Gb DDR RAM

Condition:

The server has been used and loved for it's life.  There are the usual wear and tear marks on the case indicating this.

All the drive caddies are present, even the ones without disks (and they aren't blanks either), so you don't need to purchase caddies when you get additional disks

The cam lock on the front door of the server is missing, as I took it off to get a new key for it and lost it

There is an open 5.25" bay, without anything or a cover plate in / on it from a non functional tape drive.  This is hidden by the main door of the server

Note that the image supplied is a stock image and not the image of the machine

I am selling this machine because our office has upgraded to a Dell PowerEdge R520, which is better suited to our needs, however this PE 2600 still has several years of useful life as an office server, VMWare lab machine, Linux mail / web / etc. server

The successful bidder may also add:

• Additional 4Gb RAM installed : R500
• Additional 140Gb Hot Swap disk : R500

Please indicate with the sale should you wish to take up either of these 2 options, and the amount needs to be added to the amount paid

This server is heavy.  I can not courier it - it will need to be collected from Bryanston near the William Nicol offramp to the N1 highway by the successful winner or their nominated courier / driver.  Address details will be supplied after the auction closes
