An EXCELLENT example of an Early 20th Century Argentine Nickel Bombilla Straw with Gold-Plated fixtures. This piece remains in a well-preserved state. The 'Bombilla' Straw was traditionally used to drink the South American herbal Mate / Cimarron caffeine-infused beverage. The stem and perforated filter allow for the liquid diffusion of leaves and stems obtained  from the Yerba Mate plant mixture. An intricate floral design adorns the shaft , and has been rendered in a Gold-Plated surface finish.
