An EXCELLENT example of a Early 20th Century, Tuareg Amghar Telek Dagger with Leather Scabbard. This piece appears to be in a well-preserved state, age-related usage marks are evident. The Telek or Gozma , is a traditional North African Dagger intended to be worn on the forearm (underneath the Robe sleeve) for concealment purposes. This engraved piece would have been carried by a Tribal Chieftain or Amghar, for daily use as an everyday utilitarian knife or weapon for personal protection.
The ideal addition to any 20th Century, North African / Tuareg Tribal Dagger collection or display - for the enthusiast seeking a unique period piece.
