FIRST, I would like to thank everybody who bid on my original Peyo/Schleich Smurfs last week, there were some fierce bidding battles, I trust that most of you got the rare ones that were missing from your collection!
This week there is another treat for you, the very collectible fake smurfs in numerous colour variations. These are really hot overseas right now, the hardcore Smurfs collectors are going nuts over them just because they are so much rarer than the original ones and there are colours you have never seen before....
They are the same size as the original smurfs and the plastic is very similar too, they feel like the originals, slightly bendable, not those horrible hard plastic ones...these are also hand painted, each one is different and unique in appearance but you can easily tell the difference in colour to the original ones. They are unmarked, I have no idea of age and origin, I bought them from a deceased estate, the lady told me that her husband had been a hardcore Smurfs collector for many years. Towards the end of his collecting career he was left with only the fake ones, they fascinated him the most, I was lucky enough to acquire them. They are in fantastic, as new condition, these were obviously not played with, pure collector's items.
