This item is one of a series based on the 1.50m giraffe "Ì CAN SEE TOMORROW" (Insurance value 11,000.00) that is currently on expo at the Tatham Art Gallery in Pietermaritzburg.
1,5m Tatham Giraffe
A total of 11 giraffes and 11 elephants complete this serie. Sizes vary between 15cm and 1.50m with the giraffes, and the elephants between 11cm and 14cm. These artworks was created for the european market, and if not sold will be shipped out to the Netherlands
Carved in South Africa by rural artists each giraffe and elephant is unique, and one of a kind.
I always had the feeling when looking at a giraffe that they can see much more, not only over the next tree, but into the future. The elephant serie will go under the "I AM TOMORROW" they have evolved and have been here since the beginning of time, and if they are gone, there will be no tomorrow.
With this series I aim to create a sence of wisdom, knowledge and strenth.
This artwork will make an ideal gift to a person/company on his/her/their way to the top, or somebody that has already arrived at the pinnicle of his/her carreer.

Artist Profile:
Born in Zambia 1958, studied design & art in South Africa. Working in the jewelery design, and ceramic sector for a period, see decided to traveled through Europe, Israel & periods in Mauritius. After a 15 year stay in Europe she is now back in South Africa. During her stay in the Netherlands she produced and sold most of her works.
At precent the Tatham Art Gallery has one of her artworks on display.(smaller versions there of will be placed on BOB, at a fraction of the price of the Tatham one).
