About Ruby
Rubies are extremely strong, registering 9 on the Mohs scale of hardness. They are as resilient as sapphires and only slightly softer than diamonds.
Rubies were discovered about 2000 ago probably in India, where continues to be a highly prized gem. The Sanskrit word for ruby is “ratnaraj” which roughly translates to “king of the gems.” They are believed to offer the wearer - passion, power, protection, happiness.
It is said to improve physical and mental health.
