*INVESTMENT ART* 1920's W. KOELEGA, LARGE OIL ON CANVAS - "FARMER AND WIFE"

W. Koelega was a Dutch Impressionist artist who spend time in South Africa in the 1920's. A fine painter with a skill for impressionist works, Koelega's paintings have been sold at Christies fetching many thousands. 

This painting dates to the 20's and his time in South Africa. The artwork in perfect condition, considering its near 100 year age, and has a nice silver rimmed frame in perfect condition. 

Titled "Farmer and Wife", one may be puzzled at first. But on closer inspection, outside the farmhouse, one can see 2 figures feeding the chickens. 

Overall the panting measures 595mm - 385mm and with the frame that becomes 880mm by 660mm, so it is quite large.
