Hi there, I have this absolutley stunning signed oil on canvas painting by famous South African artist Mvemve Jiyani. The painting depects a fishing village possibly up the East Coast or in Mozambique. The painting in my mind captures those bright blues of a tropical paradise and beautifully show a water borne community.
Unfortunately the frame of the painting is in poor condition and could do with being replaced. This painting would look stunning in a wooden frame. The picture itself is in good condition.
Mvemve Jiyani (please see the bio at the end of the description) is a well known and collectable artist, whose sketches pastel works fetch many thousands, so an oil on canvas, such as this would go for even more.
With the frame the picture measures 950mm by 590mm, the painting alone measure 850mm by 490mm.
