This printer powers on but has a connection problem
It was more cost-effective for me to buy a new printer than have this one fixed. It had minimal use in a home environment. It still has the original toner cartridges which are at 86-89% level. The belt and fuser life is still at 95%+. Print-count is very low at 388 colour and 373 mono pages.
I was told by Oki the controller board is not working and needs replacing, approx. R500-R2500. The printer switches on, but reports an "unknown device" when plugging in the USB cable to a PC/laptop. This is apparently due to the controller board. Otherwise, this unit is in mint condition. A printer cover was always used. Unit was bought new on 19/09/2005.
