This piece remains in a GOOD, USED CONDITION- Spear Blade appears to be complete with original Tang shaft. Age-related Surface wear is visible , as the iron has been exposed to the elements. Evidence of bending and surface pitting attest to prolonged usage. ** ITEM IS SECOND-HAND AND IS  +/-  150 YEARS OLD .**

An EXCELLENT example of a Late 19th Century Zulu 'Umkhonto Forged Iron Spear Head , as used by isiZulu Warriors during the latter half of the 1800s. This piece conforms to the overall shape and correct length of the  'throwing spear' - designed for distance combat. The Spear Head displays signs of element exposure and retains an uneven surface from hand-forging , coupled with excessive use. This particular item was obtained from the regions Northern KwaZulu-Natal.

The ideal addition to any 1800s Zulu Spear Head collection or display- for the enthusiast seeking a well-preserved period piece for their assortment.
