Since 1998 The South African Mint has issued a R1 Commemorative Gold Coin depicting all the major cultures found in South Africa.

In the 2009 tenth ounce Cultural coin, the Northern Sotho, or Bapedi people are honoured. A woman is etched on the coin while she prepares a traditional meal on a three legged pot in familiar surroundings.

ALL of the previous Cultural series tenth ounce coins are now valued at between R3500 and 4000. This is possibly due to their low mintages and popularity among collectors. This low starting price offers good investment potential based on historic values.

The coin, issued by the S. A. Mint, is encapsulated, certificated, of proof quality and in the burgundy box of issue.  Please note that the tenth ounce coin for sale is numbered 105 and NOT as in the picture below.

Please see terms and conditions below.

Terms of sale.

Please only bid on this item if you intend initiating payment within 48 hours of securing this purchase. Sales will not be cancelled and non-payment will result in an SNC being raised. Please note number 105 is being sold.

The seller reserves the right to close the auction early. We do not close an auction to sell privately. Items will be posted once clear funds reflect in my account.
